It's beginning to look a lot like...

Christmas around here! :)

Here are a few of my Christmas touches around our little place!
Chalk boards with some Christmas spirit!

Old jug with white painted branches. I put on a strip of burlap for something extra!
Also, a Christmas tin with some hot chocolate, all ready to be stirred up!

My paper wreath with some greens & a burlap bow!

Nativity scene & some greens in a little jar.

An old box with some more greens, white lights, & rolled vintage paper!
I have this on top of the fridge & I love it :)

Besides that, I've just been battling this super annoying, hanging around forever cold.
And battling getting used to this guy, who is ALL BOY...
He's a handful. To me at least, who is used to Carly.
To everyone else with boys, he's probably normal...

And how about these cuties? Carly said, "Mommy, take a picture!"
She enjoys lovin' on her daddy!

This weekend I'm looking forward to checking out the Dickens of a Christmas in town!
It will continue our Christmas spirit & we'll get to see/do some fun stuff!

Happy Friday all! :)

Veteran's Day Fun

Today, we spent the afternoon at the park, since it was so beautiful!
The weather was quite a tease, but I'm still excited for the holidays to come & the coziness of winter.
I've already listened to Christmas music this past week...crazy, I know! :)
Come January, I'll probably be itching for summer, sunshine, & warm weather...
until then, I'll try to enjoy this season!

The kids had some festive clothes on today to honor Veteran's Day & their Uncle Mike that is serving our country! Thank you Veterans!

So while we enjoy our Sunday evening watching the ball game
& eating some snacks: spinach dip, pizza rolls, popcorn, & grapes,
I hope you've had a great weekend & are ready to start another week! :)

We Will Keep Our Eyes on You

I just repinned this youtube video on my Pinterest Board & I wanted to share it.

After having an overwhelming morning, with a sick Rogue...I've talked to several other people close to me who are having some stressful times right now. With people upset about the election, family issues, financial issues, jobs, hopes & dreams being crushed, or just overwhelmed with everyday life...
I am so thankful for this life that we have. The food that God has always provided, the houses that God has always provided, the money that God has always provided, the people you just needed to hear from that God has always provided.
It sounds so cliche & like a pin on Pinterest, but Let Go & Let God!
Our God is Sovereign & He loves us so much.
He is in control!

Some Festive Fun

We really don't "do" Halloween in our house.
But Carly kept asking if she could dress like a kitty...
I thought "Why not, let's feed her imagination!"

So I managed to pull together some things around the house, to make her a little costume.

Rogue wasn't into it at all...so we made him a mild version of a puppy.
It lasted 3 minutes, a little longer than Carly...Haha!

We didn't go trick-or-treating or to any parades. My mom came over with a few treats for the kids. They were thrilled to get some goodies!
:: Now, I'm ready to kick gears into preparing for the holidays! ::
